We are a unique family run horse racing syndicate, who offer a much more personal hands-on experience as an owner. Our weekly email updates ensure that every shareholder is given all details of work at home and races we plan to target for the season ahead. Every owner is welcomed to visit the horses at the stables and we also encourage to join us at the track on race days for the full experience. We currently own 13 horses, 8 of which are fully syndicated. 8 of those horses are trained by Rebecca Bastiman in Yorkshire and 5 of them are trained by Iain Jardine in Currutherstown, Dumfries. It's a team effort at LBL and we believe in our ability to find out quickly what horses need and get the best out of them.
Every year we invite shareholders to join us at the October sales meeting in Newmarket. This is a great chance to meet our team and witness first hand all of the effort that goes into trying to secure our main targets at the auction. This is a very exciting few days for the business and a great chance to enjoy a meal and a few beers on us! We believe we have a good eye for finding the right horses who are young, promising, well bred and potentially well handicapped horses who can improve and go onto win multiple races for us. We currently have shares available in 5 horses. Sioux Frontier, Boing, Muhajjal, Flood Defence & Newstead Abbey (More Information Below)
Our track record speaks for itself, with many successes over the years like NEWSTEAD ABBEY, who notched 3 wins on the bounce for us. Most notably winning the Royal Mile handicap at Musselburgh, before going on to fly the Let's Be Lucky colours running at Royal Ascot. PLAY NICELY was a Southwell specialist who won 3 out of 4 races for us at the track in the red & black. The first of those being an incredible win by 13 lengths over a mile and 2. He then went on to win a nice handicap at Beverly on the turf, before being sold for more than 4 times what we paid for him. As far as horse racing syndicates go, you can't go far wrong with Let's Be Lucky Racing. Buy racehorse shares with us today!
Boing - 2015 Gelding by Bated Breath - Rebecca Bastiman
A cracking young horse at a value price. He's half brother to Urban Fox that won the Group 1 Pretty Polly at the Curragh in July. Before purchase I was told if we got him right he will be a nice horse. Since purchase I have been told he is a 7 furlong horse and was not far off the best 3 year old horses in the stable. A bout of sore shins did not help him in his last 2 runs.
He is very well bought and could be anything in the future. He will be gelded and prepared for the All Weather season. He was an Eyecatcher on his debut when 3rd in behind 2 decent horses. The 2nd from that race won and Ascot handicap on the 14th of July off 82. Boing has settled in to his new stable well and has put on plenty of weight. I expect him to be a bigger and stronger horse in 2019.

Flood Defence 4 year old filly by Harbour Watch - Iain Jardine
Flood Defence may well turn out to be the best purchase we have ever made. The only reason we got her for 2,000 Gns was because nobody was in the sales ring because of the World Cup Semi Final kicking off. She is a massive filly that we can send jumping after we have some fun on the flat with her. Iain Jardine likes her a lot. She's been placed on 2 from her 1st 4 starts for us and we bet her E/W at 40/1 advised at Hamilton and again when a close 2nd at Haydock. She is also better than her last 2 runs suggest.

Muhajjal - 2014 Gelding by Cape Cross - Rebecca Bastiman
He's a smashing horse that is open to bundles of improvement for a change of stable. His 2 year old Maiden form was top class and there is every chance he will come on bundles for going to a stable that will give him time in the paddocks. He will be gelded and built up into the the best horse he can be. Rebecca said he moves like a dream, has tons of ability and is very well handicapped. Rebecca is feeding him a lot more than other horses and he's building up well. We are very excited about this fellow.
He won on the sand and is now well handicapped because his previous trainer just went through the motions and did nothing to improve him. We however will do everything we can to help this fellow find a level of form way better than he has shown so far.

Sioux Frontier - 2015 Gelding by Excelebration - Iain Jardine
We are very excited about this 3 year old 67 rated Gelding. He beat a good yard stick Admiral Rooke when winning at Hamilton and that form is solid. Iain Jardine liked him a lot and he's 100% sound with no problems at all. He has the scope to improve a lot and Iain will have him ready to race in January. His mother did all her winning between 3 and 5 years old and he is also a late maturing sort. His trip looks like being between 1 mile and 1 mile and 2 furlongs.
Sioux Frontier was our No.1 target and we are over the moon that we secured his purchase and we were prepared to pay a lot more.
Watch him beating Admiral Rooke to win at Hamilton here
Admiral Rooke beat Mearing at Thirsk and other horses to beat him into 2nd were prolific winners Jackpot Royale, Mountain Breath and Bedouin's Story. The reason Sioux Frontier never won as many races was because he was not placed or ridden well.

LOGI - 2014 Gelding - Rebecca Bastiman
(12.5% FOR SALE)
Logi won on his debut for us early in 2017 at Wolverhampton and he has improved bundles for going to Rebecca Bastiman, Winning 2 races at Hamilton and 1 at Ayr in 2018. He was rarely out the money this season and has developed into a very consistent horse. We expect him to do very well again in 2019 and the plan is to have him in training with us for at least another 2 turf seasons.

Song Of Summer - 2015 Filly by Choisir out of Height Of Summer by Alhaarth.
(20% FOR SALE)
Trained by Iain Jardine. She is a cracking filly that had 3 runs for a mark and then won well on her handicap debut at Doncaster. She has been placed twice since her win including a very nice run in October at Lingfield over 7 furlongs and she's a massive filly with plenty of scope and looks more like a 3 year old. She also looks like she will stay very well.
Robin Bastiman checked the horse for us at the salesout said she will be a cracking 3 and 4 year old. She has done nothing but eat since we bought her, is very laid back and has every chance of filling her massive frame. Song Of Summer is expected her to win races in 2019 and if she stays well, go jumping in the Autumn.

JABBAAR, trained by Iain Jardine. FULLY SOLD
Watch our old boy Newstead Abbey winning at Southwell on 3rd February. It was an absolutely brilliant run to win from a wide draw of 13. Showing that at 9 years old he's definitely still got it! Credit to Theodore Ladd for giving him a very patient ride on the day and getting us off to a flyer in 2019.
