Based in Hetlandhill, Carrutherstown near Dumfries in Scotland. Iain has incredible training facilities including a 6 furlong all weather gallop with a gradual incline, a 1 mile circular grass gallop, 2 furlong  schooling lane, among many other top class facilities.

His experience as a jockey has helped him greatly in his training career. He has trained many big winners, most notably Nakeeta, who won the Ebor at York in 2017 and the Lanark Silver Bell with Paddy The Squire in 2025. Iain also has a great team of staff around him, to help deliver the highest quality of training for each and every horse in the stable.

He  has done a fantastic job with our horses over the past few years and we are excited to keep working with him going forward.

Jim Goldie is a vastly experienced Scottish trainer based in Libohill Farm Stables, Uplawmoor, near Glasgow. 

He has been very successful  for more than 30 years as a dual purpose trainer with multiple Group winners, including Orientor, Jack Dexter, Euchen Glen & Stewards Cup winner Hawkeyethenoo, GrndSefton winners Lampion DuBost & Endless Power and Group 1 winner at Royal Ascot 2025 American Affair that he bred himself.

Jim boasts fantastic facilities at Libohill Farm Stables including a 2 furlong All Weather round gallop leading onto a 5 furlong All Weather uphill gallop as well as grass gallops, horse walkers, lunging rings and turnout paddocks.
