FEAR AND FAST 3 Year Gelding by Massaat out of Mafair Lady

Fear And Fast is another very exciting purchase for LBL and a massive thank to Ted Durcan again for securing a horse that Ted was very excited before that the hammer went down and he thinks that Jim Goldie and his team will improve him a lot going forward. He thought we would have to pay 15 to 20,000 Gns and describes the 10,000 Gns
purchase as outstanding value.

Fear And Fast is a 5F sprinter that stays the trip well and goes on anything up to soft ground. He's only rated 61 and we are keen to race him a few times in the last 2 months of the season to give him the chance to take advantage of that handicap mark.

He has run many good races for his previous trainer without winning and his full brother 2 year old  Davvy has won 2 races for David Evans.

The purchase price includes the purchase price pus VAT, Teds fee, Delivery to Jim Goldies stable and training expenses to the 31st of August.

He's been doing everything right since he arrived at the Jim Goldie stable and everything is going to plan.

 Federal Envoy  - 4 year old Gelding By Bated Breath. Trained by  Iain Jardine Racing Ltd.   Federal Envoy is one of the most exciting purchases we have made for  years and a massive thanks goes to Ted Durcan,  our agent who told us to  buy our 3 year old winning gelding. He was a 100,000 Euro yearling that  won first time out on the 14th of March this year. He was well backed  and beat Jayyash who has won and been placed many times since. He had  excuses for his next 3 starts and  was then a very close 5th and  beaten  less than 1 and a half lengths at Leicester on the 6th of July.  He is  currently rated 72 (was 76) and we rate him well handicapped because   the 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 6th and 7th from Leicester have boosted the form  since by either winning or being placed. He won 2 races from his first 3 in 2025 including at £20,000 7F handicap on Winter Derby Day, We are all very excited about him. 

He is now on his way back to top form and  he will be racing again soon.

We are delighted to report that we have purchased HOUR BY HOUR. A cracking big horse with very few miles on the clock. He has solid 2 and 3 year old form that has worked out well.

He was nicely handicapped  in the 60s at the start of the 2024 turf season and after three impressive wins at Hamilton twice and Haydock once he's now rated 78 and we are delighted about that. 2025 should be another great year for him.

He has  ran cracking races in both starts so far this turf season and is open to plenty of improvement.

Spanish Hustle has now won 8 races for us and he has improved again this turf season. He won our first Sunday series race at Hamilton on the 15th of June and his win at Hamilton on the 18th of July was all down to Kaiya Fraser and his brilliant tactics. He has a lot more improvement to come and we are excited about him going forward.

This turf season Crystal Guard has shown a lot of improvement and he has run brilliant races including an impressive win at Musselburgh
and a very good 3rd in a hot race at Hamilton.

We are excited about him because he stays 2 miles + and is loving his life just now.

He can still win on the all weather but he will be a better horse on the turf and the plan is to win another race or two this year and get him up
to a 60+ rating so he can run in nice 1 mile 6F to 2 mile races during the 2026 turf season.

8yo Gelding by  Society Rock out of Something Magic  by Proud Citizen (USA)

Shine On Brendan did well this year. He  won a race at Musselburgh for the 2nd year in a row and a decent race at Hamilton but that does not tell the full story. He was placed a few times including a close 2nd in a 85 handicap and 3rd in a 90 at Hamilton.

He is very well handicapped and had a confidence boosting win at Hamilton on the 30th of September and won again at Ayr with a superb ride from Kaiya Fraser. He's still a well handicapped horse off 62 on the All Weather at 68 on the turf. We have big  plans for him in 2025. He ran a smashing race at Musselburgh on the 1st of July under Kaiya Fraser to finish 2nd from a wide draw and he has backed that up with 2 strong runs since including a close 2nd at Hamilton. The rest of the turf season is exciting.

IGNAC LAMAR  -   6.25% Available

We are pleased to offer shares in dual winner IGNAC LAMAR, a 5-year-old gelding by the high-class sprinter, DANDY MAN. IGNAC LAMAR  cost 35,000gns as a yearling and comes from a superb family.

His mother Bratislava has bred 10 winners from 12 foals including horses rated 100 plus.

I talked at length with Rod Millman and he told me everything we need to know about him to help us going forward and what he has done up to now.

He has won two races on the sand at Southwell and Wolverhampton over 6 furlongs and went close to winning a strong 7 furlong handicap at Kempton. On his penultimate run he ran a cracker at Leicester over 7 furlongs to finish a solid 3rd and had trouble at the start of the race.

He matched strides with top class horses in maidens and handicaps. Rod said that he has never seen the vet or missed a day's work and is well handicapped. Ted Durcan who helped us out at the sales loved our horse. Jim Goldie is brilliant with sprinters and improvement is expected.

On the back of an excellent 3rd at Wolverhampton he won well at Southwell under Robert Havlin.

He had a wind operation that should help

him a lot now that he's down to a  very good handicap mark . He won a race at Southwell and was also 3rd this winter and we are excited about him for the 2025 turf season following an excellent 3rd at Musselburgh on the 2nd of May and stayed on strongly. and then won over 6 Furlongs at Hamilton in May. We expect him to win more races

in 2025.
